EnableDescribeParam (EDP)

Purpose

Determines whether the driver supports the SQLDescribeParam function, which allows an application to describe parameters in SQL statements and in stored procedure calls.

Valid Values

0 | 1

Behavior

If set to 1 (Enabled), the driver supports SQLDescribeParam. The Prepare Method (PrepareMethod) option must be set to 0 or 1, and the SQL statement must not include long parameters. If using Microsoft Remote Data Objects (RDO) to access data, you must use this value.

If set to 0 (Disabled), the driver does not support SQLDescribeParam.
