Explanation
This article explains how to link or unlink models in Knowledge Model Management.
Linking models allows you to reuse a single model within multiple other models, and also (very importantly) to limit who has access to edit which models. So model A can have one set of SMEs to edit it, and model B can have a different set to edit it. Then model C, which is a combination of A+B can have yet another group allowed to edit it.
Assumptions
- You have an existing model.
- You have the MANAGER role for the model.
Method
Steps to Link Model(s)
- Open the model (in this example, Test Model).
- Click the Linking link on the left side of the screen.
, - Click the “Model Links” tab in the main pane.
, - Choose the model you wish to link then click the Add button beside it. You can add as many models as you want.

- Click Save linked models button for the changes to apply.

- A message will appear for the changes in the model.
Outcome
You will see a link icon next to the Concept or Concept Scheme indicating that it is from a linked model.

- Click the Remove button next to the model you want to unlink, and then click the Save linked models button to apply changes in model.

Outcome
All linked Concepts and Concept Schemes will be removed in the model.
