The Redfish credential is used to gather hardware-related data from a device for the purposes of notifying users about potential issues with server hardware health. This includes but is not limited to physical disk failure, temperature, memory failure, power supplies failure, and fan failure.
Configure the following:
- Name. Enter a unique name for the credential. This name displays in the Credentials Library.
- Description. (Optional) Enter additional information about the credential. This information displays next to the credential in the Credentials Library.
- User Name. Enter a valid user name required for device authentication.
- New Password. Enter the corresponding password for the user name provided.
- Confirm Password. Re-enter the corresponding password for the user name provided.
- Ignore Certificate Errors. Enable this checkbox to force WhatsUp Gold to disregard any certificate errors.

- Port. Enter the port number WhatsUp Gold should use to communicate with the device.
- Protocol. Select HTTP or HTTPS for secure communication with the device.
- Timeout (secs). Enter the length of time (in seconds) the connection should be attempted.
- Retries. Enter the number of attempts WhatsUp Gold should use to communicate with the device.
Click Save.
