Click SIGN OUT at the top of the page to end the WebUI session.

Signing out from a SAML Single Sign-on (SSO) Session

While using Single Sign-on (SSO), if you sign out of MOVEit, you will be asked if you also want to sign out of your Identity Provider session.

  • Yes signs out of your MOVEit session (and other applications that your SSO session provides access). You are returned to the MOVEit Single Sign-on page.

If your organization has multiple identity providers, you are prompted to choose one. To avoid this prompt, check the Remember selection option on the Sign On page.

  • No signs you out of the MOVEit session only. You are returned to the Single Sign-on page. To sign on to MOVEit again, you do not need to enter your username and password, because you are still authenticated through the identity provider.
  • Cancel returns you to your MOVEit home page.

Automatic Session Sign out

You can be automatically signed out for any of the following reasons:

  • Session Time out due to inactivity.

You can be signed off automatically for inactivity. User policies can sign-out automatically when a MOVEit Transfer Web UI session was idle for the last n minutes —the default value for n is 20 minutes.

  • Session cleanup by a MOVEit Administrator.

A MOVEit Transfer administrator can terminate your session or connection with the server.

  • Single Sign-on policy.

You can be signed off from your single sign-on account. If your organization is set up to use SAML Single Sign-on, when you sign off from your corporate or network account, you might also be signed off from MOVEit.

In most instances, you are returned to the Sign On page. If you sign on again, you are usually returned to the page you were viewing before you signed out. Clicking the BACK button on your browser typically does not return you to MOVEit.
