Note: The Change Your Password view will be available in your account settings if your MOVEit Transfer administrator allows users to change passwords after signing on. If you do not see it, you must request a password change from the administrator.

Using the Forgot Password Link

From the sign-on page, you can request a new password or change your password directly with help of security questions. Your administrator decides which methods to make available to your organization based on business and security needs.

User Reset Sequence (if configured for your account)

Tip: These are organization-specific and determined by your administrator.

Reset or Request Password Reset (if enabled)

  1. If you forget your password, click Forgot Password.

    The Password Change Request page displays.

  2. Enter your username and click Continue. One of two scenarios for a new password follows:
    • When Password Request is Enabled for Your Account...
      MOVEit Transfer MOVEit Transfer emails the address registered with your MOVEit Transfer account. Follow the instructions it contains.
      Note: If you do not see a password-reset notification email, check your Spam and Junk email folder.
      Tip: If you do not receive an email within 15 minutes, or if the email tells you that the password change was denied, contact your administrator.
    • If User Self-password-change is Configured...

      Answer security questions, then click Continue.
