The Single Sign-On (SSO) feature enables you to sign on using an account associated with an Identity Provider (through your local corporate domain services or cloud domain services such as O365 or Google Workspace). SSO allows you to authenticate using credentials (such as username and password) once, while being allowed directly to sign on to multiple participating SSO-enabled applications, such as MOVEit.
Forgot Password Link (when enabled)
- Your organization allows users to reset their passwords.
- You have previously provided alternate methods of identification for this account (for example, security question answers).
Important Differences between Cloud and On-premise SSO
Unless your company uses a cloud-based service for sign on (Office 365 or Google Workspace, for example), please note that the on-premise single sign-on feature (SSO) is available when you are signed on to your corporate network or "tunneled in" (signed in through a VPN client).
Unable
to authenticate with identity provider or not allowed to sign on from this
location, try signing on to your corporate network first, and
attempt to sign on using the SSO feature again.Use SSO to Sign On
- Click Try Single Sign-On with SAML.
- If there are multiple Identity Providers for your organization, you are prompted to select a provider.
- Optionally, you can select Remember selection so that you can bypass the Select Identity Provider step the next time that you sign on.
- Click Continue. The Identify Provider sign-on screen opens.
- Enter your username and password and click OK. Note: If you click Cancel on the Identity Provider sign-on page, an error appears. To sign on, you must restart your MOVEit Transfer web interface session.
If you sign on successfully, then on subsequent sign-ons, when you open MOVEit Transfer, you go directly to your Home page.
