The final step is to set up DNS delegation to direct all requests for the Pure Storage Namespace FQDN to the LoadMasters configured for GSLB. This requires Name Server (NS) records to be set up for the specific FQDN that the Pure Storage Namespace uses.

Note: In this example, DNS delegation is set up using Microsoft DNS Server. Depending on the DNS server used in your environment, the steps may vary.

For detailed guidance on DNS delegation and other GSLB configurations, refer to the GEO Feature Description.

  1. In the Microsoft DNS Manager, select the Forward Lookup Zone used by the Pure Storage FlashBlade//S environment.

  2. Right-click the Forward Lookup Zone and select New Delegation.

  3. Click Next and enter the Pure Storage Namespace.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Click Add.

  6. If available, enter the FQDN of the LoadMaster and click Resolve. Otherwise, manually enter the IP address of the LoadMaster.
  7. Click OK once the validation status displays OK.

  8. Add the remaining LoadMasters that are part of the GSLB configuration.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Click Finish.
