You can move your Web Console artifacts to a newer version of Web Console or transfer them
to another computer.
Note:IMPORTANT If you have an
existing, populated Web Console and you want to retain the configurations, you must log
on to the Web Console, and then perform the Administration task Export
Configuration. Save the configuration file.
Note: Installing a new Web Console will clear the existing
configurations. In the new Web Console installation, you should then immediately import
the saved configurations to install them. You could retain the file as a backup, noting
that applying it will overwrite the existing configuration.
To move Web Console artifacts to a newer version or transfer them to another
computer
In the Web Console of the version you want to migrate from, choose the
Administration panel:
Choose Export Configuration:
You can choose a preferred Archive file name instead of WebConsoleConfig, such as
WebConsoleConfig_63, and then click Export Configuration. The export
creates a .zip file with the chosen file name in the downloads
folder.
Uninstall the existing Web Console.
Install and setup a 7.1.3 instance of the Web Console.
On the target machine where the 7.1.3 Web Console is setup and running, login to the Web
Console, and then choose the Administration option Import
Configuration: The Web Console configuration is completely overwritten by the imported
configurations.
