To verify your identity on your mobile device, you need an authenticator app installed on that device.

Authenticator apps are third-party applications (non-MOVEit) and available from the app store associated with your particular mobile device.

Supported Authenticator Apps

WS_FTP Server works with authenticator apps such as Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator, which are available from most app stores, including iTunes and Google Play.

Tip: WS_FTP Server is compatible with authenticator applications like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator that implement RFC 6238 (Time-Based One-Time Password) and RFC 4226 (HMAC-Based One-Time Passwords).

Ensure Time Synchronization Between Devices

To prevent authentication issues, verify that both your computer and the mobile device running the authenticator app are synchronized in time. This includes confirming that each device is set to the correct time zone and that Daylight Saving Time (DST) is properly accounted for. For instance, a device set to Eastern European Summer Time (EEST) and a computer set to Pacific Standard Time (PST) can still function correctly as long as each clock is accurate within its respective time zone. Any mismatch in time settings may lead to failed authentication attempts.
