PAS for OpenEdge supports multiple transports, each providing a different communication mechanism for OEABL applications—including REST, SOAP, APSV, and WEB transport.

To help administrators manage these transports consistently, PAS for OpenEdge exposes a set of transport‑specific JMX MBeans. These MBeans offer operations to enable or disable a transport, inspect deployed services and descriptors, adjust runtime properties, and retrieve or reset metrics. This provides a unified and extensible way to control how client applications interact with PAS for OpenEdge at runtime.
