Use TLS-based Connection (-ssl) to specify a Transport Layer Security (TLS) connection to all database and client connections for data privacy.

TLS provides an authenticated and encrypted peer-to-peer TCP/IP connection.

Note: Be sure you need TLS before using this parameter. TLS incurs more or less heavy performance penalties, depending on resources and load.
