Use Date Format (-d) to specify the format
used to display dates in an application using a three-character string of the letters:
d, m, and y in any order. This startup parameter provides the same
functionality as the SESSION:DATE-FORMAT attribute..

The format used to display dates in an application.
Note:
- The
-dsets the display format not the storage format. The storage format is fixed. - The date constants entered in procedures, or as initial values in the Data Dictionary, are always specified in month/day/year format.
