The Progress OpenEdge JMS Adapter supports the following two connection modes:
  • Progress OpenEdge JMS Adapter BrokerConnect
  • Progress OpenEdge JMS Adapter ClientConnect

If the Progress OpenEdge JMS Adapter is installed using the standalone installer without being overlayed on an OpenEdge 12.2 installation, only the BrokerConnect mode is supported.

If the Progress OpenEdge JMS Adapter is installed using the standalone installer but overlayed on an existing OpenEdge 12.2 installation using the same $DLC location, the ClientConnect and BrokerConnect modes are supported.
