You can create an entire new collection from a resource details page. You can create only shared collections using this approach.

To create a collection from the details page of a resource:

  1. From the Resources page, click the resource's name to go its details page where you want to create a collection.
  2. Click to add the resource to a new or existing collection. A blank field appears along with a list of existing collections.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Type an alphanumeric text of your choice in the field for collection editor. The console filters the list with the matching keywords.
    • Click a collection name from the drop-down list.
  4. Press Enter. The collection name appears on the details page.
    Note: If you type a name that does not exist, the console automatically creates a collection with that name and the current resource will be a member of that collection.

    You can view the details page of the added collection by clicking the collection name.

    Note: You can follow the same procedure to associate other resources to an already existing resource by choosing an existing collection name from the list of collections that appear when creating a collection. You can also add members to the collection by editing a collection as described in Edit a collection.
