A virtual appliance is a pre-configured virtual machine image that runs on a hypervisor or in the cloud. Using virtual appliances eliminates installation, configuration, and maintenance costs when running complex software stacks in diverse environments.

Flowmon provides virtual appliances to simplify deployment in both on-premise virtualization platforms and public clouds. This guide includes:

  • a description of the types of appliances available to partners and customers,
  • a list of supported platforms and environments,
  • a set of step-by-step instructions for deploying Flowmon appliances in these platforms and environments.
