The profiles structure represents a tree topology, where the AllSources profile (called a live profile in XML) is the main root. It has channels corresponding to flow sources detected on the Collector (
<fmcSource/>element). -
Each profile is either a sub-profile of the live profile or some of its sub-profiles.

Each profile can be a parent profile to any number of sub-profiles.

Profile is a sub-profile of profile P if some of its channels have a parent channel from profile P.
