Microsoft SharePoint Online allows users to access SharePoint from the web without a local installation. Semaphore for SharePoint Online adds Semaphore controlled vocabulary (model) classification/categorization functionality to this solution including:
- Automatic classification of content with tags when content is added or modified.
- Manual selection of content tags.
- Classification of individual documents or entire document libraries at the click of a button.
- Synchronization of Semaphore models into the SharePoint Online term store.
Prerequisites

A subscription to Office 365 SharePoint Online services - An Office 365 subscription that includes SharePoint Online.
Note: Microsoft 365 Government is not supported.

Admin access to a Semaphore for SharePoint Online hosted services environment - To install Semaphore for SharePoint Online, you must use an Office 365 active directory (AD) account that has administrator access to the SharePoint Online site collection(s) to which you want to deploy Semaphore for SharePoint Online.

Registration in Progress Data Cloud - Your company must be registered with Progress Data Cloud. Additionally, the Progress Data Cloud user account used to configure or administer SharePoint Online must be assigned the Progress Data Cloud SharePoint Online
Deployment Managerrole. -
One or more models published in Progress Data Cloud - A model must be published in your Progress Data Cloud tenancy using the Semaphore Studio service Knowledge Model Management component. This must be completed before completing configuring of Semaphore for SharePoint Online.
