Create SSH User Key

This page is used to create an SSH user key to associate with a user. This key is used to authenticate the user when public key authentication is enabled.

  • Name. Enter a name for the key. This name is for your reference and is never displayed to users.
  • Type (RSA by default). Select the type of key that you want to generate.
  • Passphrase (optional). Enter a passphrase to encrypt the key.
  • Confirm passphrase (optional). Re- enter the same passphrase as above.
  • Key size. Select the key size for the key. A higher key size creates a more secure key, but takes longer to generate.
