CCleaner 5.33 32-bit version discovered carrying malware
Supply chain attack: CCleaner compromised to distribute malware
Attackers compromised a CCleaner update to distribute malware. The Windows 32-bit version of CCleaner v5.33.6162 and CCleaner Cloud v1.07.3191 contained this malicious code. The malware steals data from infected systems and transmits it to command and control (C&C) servers operated by the attackers.
Flowmon ADS detects communication to these C&C servers.
