Tor is a software project that allows anonymous Internet browsing. Tor2Web is a service that provides access to dark web content for regular Internet users without requiring them to install special anonymization software. Malware authors also use Tor2Web to communicate with anonymized command and control (C&C) servers.
Flowmon ADS detects communication to Tor2Web services, which may indicate either legitimate dark web access or potential malware activity.
