The following screenshot shows how to connect the Flowmon Application to the Flowmon public demo:
-
Enter the address of the Flowmon API. If the Flowmon Console GUI has the same IP address, select the Same as API address check box. The system uses the second address to generate links that open specific events in the Flowmon Console GUI.
-
Enter Username and Password values to obtain a token required for API calls. During the first configuration, provide these credentials in the appropriate fields. For security reasons, if you open the configuration page again after saving, the Password field appears empty. To keep using the currently configured password, leave this field empty. To change the password, enter a new value in the Password field.
-
Data collection from Flowmon can sometimes take significant time. You can adjust the timeout value if needed. If you receive notifications that the timeout is reached too frequently, increase this value.
-
To secure the connection, upload the Flowmon certificate. You can download this certificate from Flowmon > Configuration Center > System > System Settings > Certificate Management.
- To connect to the Flowmon device through a proxy, select the Use proxy check box and enter the proxy address and port. If your proxy requires authentication, enter the username and password credentials.
