Configure the staging environment identically to the production environment, and then install OpenEdge.
Developers working with PAS for OpenEdge development licenses can provide whole, compressed instances, or individual applications and services, which system administrators can then deploy to the staging environment.
System administrators should then apply production configurations as if the instance was running in a live user environment. At this stage, the system administrator can do regression testing, functional testing, performance testing, and tuning. The testing ensures that when the instance goes to production, the system administrator has a better understanding of the run-time performance and configuration.
