Progress OpenEdge provides a generic Java Message Service (JMS) adapter for implementing messaging in ABL applications. The Progress OpenEdge JMS Adapter can operate with any JMS 1.1-compliant vendor such as SonicMQ (now Aurea Messenger MQ), IBM WebSphereMQ, and ActiveMQ Artemis.

Note: The SonicMQ and Sonic ESB products were acquired by Aurea Software and became part of the Aurea CX Platform, which was subsequently renamed to Aurea Integration Solutions. In line with this, SonicMQ became Aurea CX Messenger MQ, and then was renamed to Aurea Messenger.

You can install the OpenEdge JMS Adapter using a standalone installer or add it to the existing OpenEdge installation.
