The _release() method makes this object unavailable for further use. For example:

Syntax

public void _release()

If you execute _release() on the last available proxy object that shared a particular connection, the client disconnects the application server. If you execute _release() on a ProcObject, the associated persistent procedure on the application server is deleted. The connection to the application server is automatically released for single-run and singleton procedures after their internal procedures or user-defined functions are completed, and in the case of a single-run procedure, the procedure itself is also automatically deleted form the application server. However, the Dispose( ) method does clean up client-side resources for single-run and singleton procedures.
