The way requests are handled when no connections are available and the connection pool is full, specified by one of the values shown in the following table.

| -1 | Queues the request indefinitely until an application server session becomes available |
| 0 | Rejects the request and returns an error message to the client indicating that there are too many concurrent requests |
| N | Queues the request the number of seconds specified by the value (N must be greater than zero) until the application server becomes available. If no session becomes available in that time, an error message is returned to the client |
