You can upgrade OpenEdge Command Center server to a newer version. Download the OpenEdge Command Center server installer for the target version from the Progress Software Download Center.
When upgrading the OpenEdge Command Center server in a standalone deployment or as the primary server in a high-availability setup, the installer also upgrades MongoDB. For additional servers in a high-availability setup, only the server is upgraded.
Prerequisites
-
Ensure that you have administrator privileges on the target system.
-
Ensure that the Java Development Kit (JDK) version 21.0.12 or later (within the 21.x major version) is installed on your system.
- Ensure that all the additional servers are stopped if you are upgrading the primary server in a high-availability setup.
Recommendations
- Stop the server before starting the upgrade.
- Do not cancel the installer during an upgrade. Canceling the installer can leave files and services in a partially updated state and may require manual recovery. For more information, see Upgrade interruption behavior and recommended actions
- In a high-availability setup, upgrade the primary server to the target version before upgrading the additional servers.
- Verify that the MongoDB version on your system is 7.0.x. The installer behavior varies
depending on the detected MongoDB version, as described in the table
below:
Detected MongoDB version Installer Action 5.x The upgrade is canceled. You must manually upgrade MongoDB to version 6.0.x before retrying the upgrade. 6.x The installer upgrades MongoDB to the latest version in 7.0.x. 7.0.x The installer upgrades MongoDB to the latest version in 7.0.x
