Registering for Progress Data Cloud is your first step toward enabling the MCP connector.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, you must meet the following prerequisites:

  • You have a valid OpenEdge 12.2 or 12.8 license.
  • You have an active Maintenance Contract.

To register for Progress Data Cloud, perform the following steps:

  1. Request access to Progress Data Cloud from Progress Administrator by filling out and submitting Request Access Form. For information about Progress Data Cloud, see Use Progress Data Cloud.
  2. Check your inbox for an email from Progress Administrator. After your request is validated, you will receive one of the following emails:
    • If you are already a member of the OpenEdge Customer Validation Program (CVP), you will receive an invitation email from data-cloud.admin@progress.com with the subject Invitation to register for Progress Data Cloud. The email contains the link to register for Progress Data Cloud.
      The following is a sample invitation email that you will receive after approval from Progress Administrator:
    • If you are not a member of the OpenEdge CVP, you will receive an email asking you to submit a request to join CVP. After you successfully enroll in CVP, your request will be processed and you will receive the above invitation email.
  3. Click Register Now. The Progress Data Cloud Sign-In page appears.
  4. Select ProgressID. The Log in with Progress ID page appears.
  5. Type your Progress username and password in the respective fields and click LOG IN.
    Note: Progress provides these credentials after you enroll in the OpenEdge CVP .
  6. Select your preferred option on the Set employee authentication persistent browser cookie? page. The Progress Data Cloud page appears.

    You are now successfully registered and signed in to Progress Data Cloud.
