This section provides step-by-step instructions for setting up a procedure library using the PROLIB utility.

To set up a procedure library:

  1. Create the standard procedure library with the PROLIB utility. (All procedure libraries must have a .pl extension.)
  2. Add the r-code files to the library with the PROLIB utility.
  3. If you are setting up a memory-mapped procedure library, use the PROLIB utility to generate the memory-mapped procedure library from the standard procedure library.
  4. Place the library in the PROPATH.

For more information about the PROLIB utility, see Use the PROLIB utility. For more information about placing libraries in the PROPATH, see Libraries and PROPATH.
