OpenEdge .NET supports the ability to access Microsoft .NET objects from ABL much as if they were native ABL classes. OpenEdge .NET provides an alternative user interface for ABL applications based on .NET forms and controls. OpenEdge .NET applications have extra considerations, including the following:

  • .NET runtime
  • .NET assemblies
  • Code Access Security (CAS) for network installs (.NET Framework only)
