Each level of security uses an authenticated user ID to determine the user's authority to access data and files. Associating a user ID with a password provides even more protection against unauthorized access.

The implementation of security for the main features of OpenEdge is the responsibility of administrators in the following areas:

  • Transparent Data Encryption administration
