The tasks for upgrading your development environment to the current release of OpenEdge include:

  • Upgrading the Spring Security files in ABL WebApp projects that you import into the current Progress Developer Studio.
    Note: The process for using domains to seal and validate client-principal objects has also changed in OpenEdge 13.
  • Updating the build.xml file used to package an ABL web application ANT project.
  • Upgrading your ABL Service projects created in Progress Developer Studio, and creating a new Progress Application Server (PAS) for OpenEdge Release 13 instance.
