The MOVEit Transfer installation program installs, updates, repairs, or uninstalls MOVEit Transfer software.

  • Install. The installation program installs MOVEit Transfer when it detects that it is not present on the system.
  • Update. The installation program updates MOVEit Transfer when it detects that an older version is present on the system. During the update operation, MOVEit Transfer components and applications are updated, and database changes/conversions are implemented.
  • Repair. This option is displayed only if the installation program detects the most up-to-date version of MOVEit Transfer it can identify is already present on the system. During the repair operation, various components and applications are replaced with known, updated copies. Database updates are applied if you are migrating to a new server in order to upgrade.
  • Modify. This option is displayed only if the installation program detects the most up-to-date version of MOVEit Transfer it can identify is already present on the system. It allows you to install additional modules available based upon the activation key entered.
  • Uninstall/Remove. This option is available if the installation detects that the most up-to-date version of MOVEit Transfer is already present on the system. It is also available from the Programs and Features section of the Control Panel.

Before you perform an update or repair option, back up your critical files.
