This screen shows the current status of the Real Servers and gives the option to Disable or Enable each Real Server. Each Real Server has corresponding buttons to disable (take an online server offline) and enable the Real Server. You can also enable or disable multiple Real Servers at the same time by selecting the relevant Real Servers, and clicking the relevant button at the bottom.

The Real Server status may be in one of the following statuses:

Status

Description

The Real Server is enabled.

The Real Server is disabled.

The Real Server passed a single health check but failed another health check. The Ambiguous status does not show in the Real Servers screen but it does show in the Virtual Services > View/Modify Services and Statistics > Real Time Statistics > Real Servers screens.

The Real Server is enabled on one Virtual Service but disabled on another Virtual Service.

Note: Caution Disabling a Real Server will disable it for all Virtual Services configured to use it. If it is the only Real Server available (that is, the last one) the Virtual Service is effectively down and will not pass any traffic.
Note: When you enable or disable a Real Server on the Real Servers screen, it gets enabled or disabled for all Virtual Services and SubVSs (regardless of what Virtual Services and SubVSs the Real Server was previously enabled or disabled for).
Real Servers that have DNS names assigned to them appear above/below Real Servers without DNS names. You can sort the list of Real Servers by clicking the Real Server or Status column headings.
