It is possible to download access-list rules from Progress Kemp to block access from IP addresses that are on the access-list. An allow list can be manually specified that will override the access-list.

Note: This is a licensable feature. If you cannot see these options, or if any fields are grayed out, please contact Progress Kemp to upgrade your license.

Enable Automated GEO IP Access List Data Updates

If this option is enabled, updates to the GEO IP access-list are downloaded daily. By default, this option is disabled.

Last Updated

The date when the last updates were downloaded is displayed. If the GEO access-list data is more than 7 days old, a message appears to inform you.

Download Now

Click this button to download the updates now.

Note: If you click Download Now to download the GEO Access Control List (ACL) when there is a routing issue such as missing DNS on the LoadMaster then the following error message is displayed:

Cannot update the GEO IP Access list. This may be due to a networking issue, an expired support contract, or some other connectivity issue. Please contact support for assistance.

Enable Automated Installs

Select this check box to enable the automatic daily install of updated rules at the specified time.

When to Install

Select the hour at which to install the updates every day.

Note: When the Enable Auto-Save option (under System Configuration > Miscellaneous Options > WUI Settings) is enabled and you select a new hour value, the value gets auto-updated.

When the Enable Auto-Save option is disabled, you must click Set Install Time after selecting a new hour value to update the installation time. If the hour value in the drop-down list has not been changed from its previous value and you click Set Install Time, the following error message displays:

"Value has not been changed. If auto-save is disabled, select a new value and press the set button again."

Manually Install GEO IP Access List Data

This button enables you to manually install the updates. This section also displays when the updates were last installed. If the GEO access-list data is not updated for more than 7 days, a message appears to inform you.

View GEO IP Access List Data File

Clicking the View button displays the current GEO IP access-list data file.

Allow IP List Data Settings

This section displays the IP addresses that are currently on the allow list.

Add New Address/Network

In this section, new addresses and networks can be added to the allow list. The allow list overrides the access-list.
