Stopping the SQL engine server using the Configuration Manager

To stop the SQL engine server:
- Open the Configuration Manager and select the SQL Engine tab.
- From the SQL Engine Mode drop-down list, select 0 - Auto or 1 - Server.
- Click Stop to stop the service. A message is displayed to confirm that the service stopped.
- Click Exit to close the Configuration Manager.
