What's new in WS_FTP Professional 13.0

The following new features and improvements were added to WS_FTP Professional 13.0.

OpenSSL 3.x with FIPS support

WS_FTP Professional now uses OpenSSL 3.x, replacing the previous OpenSSL 1.0.2 implementation.

This update adds support for FIPS mode using a FIPS-approved OpenSSL module, improving compliance with modern security and regulatory requirements.

Support for modern SSH host key and MAC algorithms

WS_FTP Professional now supports additional modern SSH host key and message authentication code (MAC) algorithms when using OpenSSL 3.x.

These algorithms are enabled by default for both new installations and upgrades. They are visible and configurable in the SSH options and are fully supported for file transfers, including uploads and downloads.

Documentation site migration to progress.com

WS_FTP Professional documentation has been migrated from ipswitch.com to progress.com.

All in-product help links have been updated to point to the new documentation URLs, ensuring continued access to current and maintained product information.
