This applies to Semaphore version 5.4.0 and later

If you are running Semaphore Studio in your own network, but want to publish to Classification Server and/or Semantic Enhancement Server instances located in the Semaphore Cloud then the following steps should be carried out.

If you are running Semaphore Studio itself in the Semaphore Cloud, then none of this applies - the CS and SES instances will already be configured for you.

  1. Install the Semaphore Cloud licence into your Studio instance using the Services->License->Upload a new licence method as normal. This will create a new “environment” within Studio.

To configure Classification and Language Service instances within this environment. Click on “New Classification & Language Service” then

  1. Add a sensible name and description for this instance and select the newly added Cloud environment.
  2. Select “Configure Semaphore External Cloud Service”,
  3. Add the Cloud API Key as taken from the Basic API Information page in you cloud tenancy
  4. The “Cloud Token URL” is most likely already correctly set (“token”). If you need to alter this value, you will have been advised as to what value should be used.
  5. The Client URL is the Classification URL again taken from the Basic API Information page in your cloud tenancy
  6. Click test to confirm that all is well, then “Submit” to save the instance.

If the CS instance has been adopted by another Studio instance, then this will be indicated. If this is the case then you will need to find out which Semaphore instance has adopted it and unadopt it from there - only one Semaphore instance can write to any adopted CS instance.

To configure Semantic Enhancement Service instances within this environment. Click on “New Semantic Service” then

  5. The Client URL is the Semantic Enhancement URL again taken from the Basic API Information page in your cloud tenancy
  6. Click test to confirm that all is well, then “Submit” to save the instance.

If the SES instance has been adopted by another Studio instance, then this will be indicated. If this is the case then you will need to find out which Semaphore instance has adopted it and unadopt it from there - only one Semaphore instance can write to any adopted SES instance.

When publishing models you will now be able to select the Cloud Environment from the Publishing dialogue box and your data will be pushed to the Semaphore Cloud.
