Explanation
This article explains the following:
- How to add or remove a user/group in a model.
- How to assign roles to a user or group in a model.
Managing users access permission allows you to limit who has access to edit, contribute, review and provide security levels to your model.
Assumptions
- You have an existing model.
- You have the MANAGER role for the model.
Method
How to Add a user or group in the model.
- Open the model (in this example, Test Model).
- Click the Model settings link on the left side of the screen.
.
Or select in the context menu in Model > Master.

- Type the name of the user or group in the search box that you wish to add.

- Click the Add User/Group button, and then click Save.
. - A message will display saying the model has been updated.

NOTE: Knowledge Model Management username and group name are case sensitive. KMM is using form-based authentication by default, therefore, a user is required to login first before you can see them in the model; otherwise, they won’t appear in the search list.
How to Remove a user or group in the model.
- Open the model and go to Model settings
- Click on the X button next to the name of the user or group you want to remove then click Save

How to assign roles to a user or group in the model
- Open the model and go to Model settings
- Click on the drop-down button next to the current role and choose the appropriate role for the user or group you wish to assign it to, then click Save button once done.
3 . A short description for different roles is also available by clicking on the drop-down button next to What are the different ROLES? .

Outcome
Test the user account or group by logging into KMM with an appropriate account. In our example above, we assign the user group “SemaphoreUsers” to the “Test Model” with an “Contributor” role. The model should now be available in the user dashboard for anyone in that user group.
