Set authentication to access AdminServer administered sub-processes

You can control the visibility and restrict operations on the AdminServer
sub-processes by using the –requireusername property. If you
enable this property, only users authenticated using the
ubroker.properties file can access the sub-processes of the
AdminServer.
Note: You can enable the
–requireusername property by selecting the
Require a Username and Password checkbox during
OpenEdge installation or by editing the ubroker.properties
file to add username and password to the sub-process.
If you configure
the –admingroup property and start the AdminServer with
–requireusername property, the users must also belong to an
authorized group to start the AdminServer. For example, if
Group1 and Group2 are specified in the
AdminServer Authorization options, any user who belongs
to either group can start the AdminServer. You can also specify these groups from
the command line as follows:
