Before you start updating, ensure that you completed all the prerequisites. For details, see Update the Progress OpenEdge JMS Adapter.

Note: This procedure applies only to standalone OpenEdge JMS Adapter installations. If JMS Adapter is added as a product to OpenEdge, it updates automatically when you update OpenEdge. For information on updating OpenEdge, see Update OpenEdge.

To update the JMS Adapter on Windows, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the folder where you extracted the software image and double-click the setup.exe file. The Welcome dialog box appears.
  2. Read the information and click Next to continue with the update. The Backup Installed Files dialog box appears.
  3. If you want to back up the existing files, select the Backup Existing Files checkbox and click Next.
  4. In the Summary dialog box, review the update options you have chosen and click Next.
  5. In the Upgrade Setup Done dialog box, click Finish. The OpenEdge JMS Adapter update is successfully completed.
