When the LoadMaster Multi-Tenancy (MT) Manager node has been instantiated, you can deploy, configure, and maintain individual LoadMaster instances (VNFs). The following procedure explains how to upload a LoadMaster image to the Manager node and use this image to create a LoadMaster instance:
  1. Using a local workstation (from which you can log in to the Manager node) go to the VNF download page on the LoadMaster website.
  2. Download one of the available VNF images to your workstation. For help deciding which release to choose, refer to the following article on the Support site: Guidance for Selecting LoadMaster Releases.
  3. Log in to the Manage node from your workstation. A freshly-deployed Manager node is assumed for this procedure.

  4. A check box is displayed that specifies whether or not the MT guests should use DHCP for initial IP configuration. If this is enabled, the initial IP address and default gateway of the guest VNF will be automatically obtained using DHCP, and you will not be prompted to set them. If this option is disabled, text boxes allow you to specify the initial IP address and default gateway.
  5. After the initial login screen, you are asked Would you like to instantiate VLM VNF now? Click Yes. If you click No, you are brought to the Multi-Tenant LoadMaster home page.
  6. Click Browse and select the file you previously downloaded. It takes a minute to upload the image.
  7. Click Install VNF Package. After the image is uploaded, click OK.
  8. The new image is displayed in the list of Currently Installed VNF Packages. Click Create Instance.
  9. Set the parameters for the new instance, or accept the defaults. Click Create VNF Now.
  10. After the VNF is created, it appears in the List of Instantiated VNFs. Click Start to turn the VNF on.
  11. Once the VNF starts, an IP Address appears in the table for the new VNF. Click the IP address to open the LoadMaster User Interface (UI), accept the End User License Agreement (EULA), and set the bal user password.

You are now logged in to the newly instantiated LoadMaster and can configure the unit as you would any LoadMaster.
