Release Version Date Description
MOVEit Transfer 2026 18.0 May 20, 2026 Product release.

With the current release, MOVEit Transfer adds the following features and improvements.

Share Files using Public Link (direct download)

Users with the File Sharing permission can share files with a direct download link. Admins can apply the File Sharing permission from the FOLDERS tab, which allows users to generate, copy, and share the direct download link.
Note: To enable this capability, an Org or File Admin user might need to clear the Inherit Access from Parent checkbox for a parrticular folder. See the Delegate File Sharing topic for more information.

Users can configure link time-to-expire and download limit values before sharing the direct-download link with others.

As org admin, you can enable and configure a cookies consent banner to display at user sign-on (SETTINGS > Appearance - Cookies Consent Banner).
Note: MOVEit Transfer will set additional cookies when you enable either Product Telemetry or In-App Notifications.

OpenSSL 3 and FIPS Mode Support

MOVEit Transfer now uses OpenSSL 3 as its cryptographic library, replacing the legacy MOVEit Crypto library. This update ensures continued support for FIPS‑approved cryptography, including the ability to run OpenSSL in FIPS mode.

Note: Installing OpenSSL separately from MOVEit Transfer may overwrite the OpenSSL libraries used by the product and trigger an Invalid moveit fips module error, which can be resolved by running a MOVEit Transfer repair installation to restore the bundled OpenSSL libraries.

AI-Assisted Custom Reports (Beta version available upon request)

Admin users can generate custom reports (REPORTS > [AI Assistant ]) by simply describing the report they need. The AI assistant does the work: identifies fields and tables, builds the report query, and validates the result (all before displaying them to the user).

Request Beta Access

To use this feature, open a support ticket and request beta access to AI-Assisted Custom Reports. After you have feature access, a SysAdmin user can enable AI-assisted reports (SETTINGS > System - Configure AI Integration) and delegate control to org admins on a per-org basis (optional).

Each org can potentially configure either an OpenAI or Azure OpenAI engine/subscription to use with the feature (SYSTEM > Miscellaneous - Configure AI Integration).

Improved Configuration Options for Anti-virus (AV)

Improved control of anti-virus can be made available to admins for each distinct organization. SysAdmins can delegate admin controls to individual orgs. Control logic is also aligned between system and org levels. For example, if no AV is configured for the system, this will be indicated in the Org settings WebUI controls.
