Use the MOVEit Transfer Config Utility to configure a secure connection with MOVEit Gateway.
Note: The Gateway tab is displayed if your MOVEit Transfer license supports
MOVEit Gateway.
- Open the MOVEit Transfer Config Utility and select the Gateway tab. For
information about the configuration options, see Gateway Tab Configuration.

- Click Enabled to choose an SSH tunnel communication between MOVEit Transfer and MOVEit Gateway.
- In Gateway Settings, enter the MOVEit Gateway hostname.
- To use the existing SSH Auth Key, click View and then Copy to
Clipboard to copy the public key for MOVEit Transfer. To generate a new SSH
Auth Key, click Generate New Key.
You need to copy this key into MOVEit Gateway. Save it to a file or copy it to MOVEit Gateway now.

- Choose the MOVEit Transfer services (HTTPS, FTP, SSH) you will use
through MOVEit Gateway. All services are selected by default. To remove a service,
clear the Enabled checkbox. Note: HTTPS must be enabled to start the tunnel.
- To use these settings and start the Gateway Tunnel listener on MOVEit Transfer, click Apply.
- If you generated a new SSH Auth Key, you must restart the Gateway SSH Tunnel
Management Service. Select the Status tab on the MOVEit Transfer server Config
Utility, and under Licensed Services start/restart the Gateway SSH Tunnel
Management Service.
Tip: Only enable the services you need to run.
