WS_FTP Server requires one of the following database platforms.

The default database platform is PostgreSQL. However, during installation you can select Microsoft SQL Server as your database for configuration data.

  • PostgreSQL 15.8
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2022 Enterprise/Standard
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Enterprise/Standard
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2017 Enterprise/Standard
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Enterprise/Standard
Note: Certain anti-virus products interfere with PostgreSQL during the install and upgrade process. For more information, see Known Issues 2024.
