Installing the Concepts Server

The Concepts Server is installed from the supplied Windows exe file or Linux RPM in the usual way.

Note, because the Concepts Server is backed by a MarkLogic DB instance, through the installation and configuration of the Concepts Server, it is expected that the user will have access to this server.

On Linux, the server will be installed by default to /opt/semaphore/concepts with configuration stored in /etc/semaphore/concepts, data, logs and temporary storage will be in /var/opt/semaphore/concepts.

On Windows, the server will be installed by default at C:\Program Files\Smartlogic\Concepts all necessary files will be kept within this directory.

Once installed, you will need to configure the service before starting it.
