Configure Semaphore for SharePoint Online

After the Progress Data Cloud App is installed in a site collection, SharePoint Online can be configured.

Prerequisites

The prerequisites for configuring SharePoint Online are:

1. Administrative access to your Office 365 installation and to relevant site collections.

2. A Progress Data Cloud tenancy.

3. Registration in Progress Data Cloud.

4. Your Progress Data Cloud tenancy user account must be assigned the:

   • SharePoint Online Deployment Manager role to configure classification
     and/or
     
   • the Term Store Synchronization Manager role to configure term store synchronization.

5. Your Progress Data Cloud tenancy must be configured for SharePoint Online.

   Note:

   If SharePoint Online appears in the Configure menu, SharePoint Online is configured. If you do not see SharePoint Online in the menu, contact the Progress Data Cloud Cloud Operations team. This could mean that Semaphore for SharePoint Online has not been purchased or configured for your tenancy.

   After meeting the prerequisites, complete the configuration steps for Microsoft SharePoint Online and Semaphore for SharePoint Online.
