Note:
  • In local authentication mode, you can change or reset the password in OpenEdge Command Center. Whereas in IdP authentication mode, passwords are managed entirely by the identity provider administrator, therefore, the change password and forgot password pages are not available.
  • When you switch from IdP authentication to local authentication, all restored local users, including the administrator, must set a new password at first sign-in, by using the Forget password link. For more information, see Switch from external IdP authentication to local authentication. Alternatively, the administrator can use the RESETFIRSTUSER utility to reset a password.

In local authentication mode, you can change or reset your password after you have logged in to OpenEdge Command Center.

To change your password:
  1. On the OpenEdge Command Center, go to your user account option on the top-right corner.
  2. Select Change password.
  3. On the Change Password page, enter information in the following fields:
    • Old Password
    • New Password
    • Confirm Password

    • Between 8-40 characters
    • A mixture of uppercase and lowercase letters
    • At least one numeral

In addition, a password must not contain the following:

    • Your username
