To help you get started using the cryptographic protocol, OpenEdge Management includes a demo keystore and certificate, valid for approximately one year, that you can set up on a nonproduction system. If you prefer (or if you want to set up secure communication on a production system), you can generate your own certificate or use one that you acquire from a certificate authority.
