Overview

Progress® Data Cloud^SM is a cloud-based data platform as a service designed to help you quickly build, manage and deploy your data architecture and AI projects in the cloud. With managed hosting of full-featured versions of MarkLogic® and Semaphore™.

This document is the administration policy for the Progress Data Cloud service and affects all users of the service.

Terminology and Infrastructure

Each customer is hosted in Progress Data Cloud in a “tenancy”, and customers are therefore known as “tenants”. Each Progress Data Cloud customer tenancy contains any number of licensed MarkLogic, Semaphore, and other Progress product services.

Each tenant delegates a single individual as a “tenant administrator” and any number of other users as “tenant co-administrators,” who all have the ability to update tenancy user permissions. Collectively they are the “tenant administrators”. Individual users of a tenancy must register themselves in the Progress Data Cloud interface; this is not required for users of SharePoint Online, only those who access the “Progress Data Cloud” interface directly.

All Progress Data Cloud production environments are currently maintained by the “Progress Data Cloud Operations Team” and the "Progress Data Cloud Engineering Team".

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to clearly define the administrative roles, and responsibilities for all Progress Data Cloud users.

Scope

This policy currently covers administration of ‘Progress Data Cloud’ only and does not claim to cover the administration of any other online services provided by Progress.
