OpenEdge provides you with the ability to provide a Transport Layer Security (TLS) connection for OpenEdge SQL and ABL. TLS provides an authenticated and encrypted peer-to-peer TCP/IP connection. You can establish the TLS connection by using the -ssl startup parameter.
